Central Coast Food Web

The Central Coast Food Web (CCFW) is a Lincoln County-based nonprofit Food Hub dedicated to strengthening local, coastal, and regional food systems. They provide services and support to small, independent food producers while making it easier for everyone to access local food.

Their facility, the Yaquina Lab in Newport, offers shared space and equipment, reducing cost barriers for direct-market food producers and helping local businesses scale. Additionally, CCFW operates an online Farm and Fish Market, allowing local producers to sell their products while giving restaurants and individuals easy access to locally sourced goods.

O2IH supported the CCFW with Blue Economy Incubator funds to further develop their online market platform and seafood processing and storage facility. Through O2IH support, CCFW was able to get additional equipment necessary for providing a useful food processing space as well as items to execute the online locally produced food marketplace. The Central Coast Food Web received over $14,000 for Startup Support and Computer Equipment including a bench scale, tools, and software.

The Central Coast Food Web continues to grow and enhance their producer space, including a new live holding tank seawater system, a large freezer, and various improvements to the fillet and production kitchen at the Yaquina Lab. The Lab offers the space and equipment necessary for processing but also boasts opportunities for value-added product development with a commercial dehydrator, smoker, and commercial kitchen.
